The Global FoodBanking Network Featured In The 2020 High Impact Giving Guide!
is featured in the Center for High Impact Philanthropy (CHIP) at the University of Pennsylvania’s 2020 High Impact Giving Guide.
The High Impact Giving Guide, released today, is designed to help donors make a difference with their philanthropic gifts. This year, the guide focuses on four social impact areas where there is an opportunity to make a collective change: strengthening democracy in the U.S., mental health and addiction, global health and disaster relief.
Organizations featured in the guide were identified by the CHIP team and analyzed for evidence of impact and cost-effectiveness. The guide provides background on specific nonprofit organizations working effectively toward their mission, ways to contribute financially and additional organizations doing similar work.
We are delighted to be a part of this publication, which promotes and enhances philanthropic giving across the globe. Donor funds, when supporting the right efforts, can truly transform people’s lives and communities. This guide will introduce GFN’s mission and impact to new audiences this holiday season and into the next year, ultimately helping the network reach more people facing hunger. Find the section of the guide featuring GFN on page 17!
It is only fitting that the 2020 High Impact Giving Guide be released on #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, dedicated to empowering people to uplift their communities by committing to give back on this day annually. This year on #GivingTuesday, we have set an ambitious goal to raise US $10,000 to help move network food banks into the holiday season.
